Hello and welcome to the Australian National University’s International Relations Society!

ANU International Society was established in 2004 and is one of the largest societies at the Australian National University, with a membership of approximately 300 students. We aim to promote an awareness for global affairs, as well as providing networking and career opportunities for students studying International Relations.

The 2020 executive are committed to expanding the opportunities we have always offered ANU students. With the creation of a new Social Media Officer, we hope to increase our online presence to bring to you more articles and news sources, and to ensure students are always up to date with International Relations opportunities in Canberra. We hope to have bigger and more frequent social activities, sponsorships, panel events, and our Education Officers are already organising help sessions for POLS1005 and POLS1006 students and mentoring opportunities with professionals in the IR-field. As always, our annual Careers Fair will attract guest speakers from organisations like DFAT, embassies, the Attorney-General’s Office of International Law, UN Women, delegates from the Parliamentary Press Gallery, politicians and diplomats.

I am very excited to be taking the role of President for 2020 and working with this year’s very passionate, motivated and talented executive, and my unwavering, organised and persistent Vice-President Nat Seeto.

I hope to see you coming along to our events. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us over email, Facebook or Instagram!

Jessica Honan (President 2020)
